- What is one piece of advice you’d give a woman wanting to start her own business?
- Starting a business can be daunting, but remember that you have all the skills to make it happen. Surround yourself with a supportive network, seek mentors who inspire you, and don't be afraid to take risks. Embrace your unique perspectives as a women and let it be your strength. The world needs brilliance, so go out there and chase those dreams!
- What’s a key learning you’ve experienced whilst running your business that you feel someone could benefit from?
- Ah, the lessons learned while running a business. There are so many valuable nuggets of wisdom I've gathered along the way, but one key learning that I believe can benefit everyone is this: embrace failure as your friend. Yes, you heard me right! Failure is not something to be feared or avoided; it's a stepping stone to success.
- How do you integrate sustainability principles into your core values?
- Sustainability is not just in the name of the podcast Sustainably Influenced, it’s part of my everyday life. It's crucial for businesses to take responsibility for their impact on the planet and future generations. In a nutshell, sustainability is not just a buzzword for me; it's a way of life and a commitment to leaving a better world for future generations. I strive to inspire others to embrace sustainable practices and show that businesses can thrive while making a positive impact on our beautiful planet.
- What make you feel confident?
- For me, it comes from a combination of things! First and foremost, BE PREPARED! When I'm well-prepared and knowledgeable about the subject at hand, I feel a surge of confidence. Secondly, surrounding myself with positive and supportive individuals boosts my confidence sky-high. Next, taking care of myself physically and mentally plays a significant role in my confidence. Regular exercise, a (somewhat) healthy diet, and self-care rituals all contribute to a positive self-image and an inner sense of strength. Lastly, I've learned that being true to myself, owning my unique voice and perspective, and not being afraid to express my thoughts and ideas, is incredibly empowering.
